Whats on for 2004?

For race dates, go to the PORC Racing page

PORC on TV again!

PORC had a visit from 'Roland Butter' a couple of days ago! The fictional charater is the star of the Childrens ITV programme 'Roll with Roland Butter'. Joined by professional riders Rob Warner, Dan Atherton and Gee Atheron, plus help from local 'stars', 'Roland' was taught the basics of mountain biking, 4X and Dirt Jumping! To see the results of the days action, tune into 'Roll With Roland Butter' during CITV on week days.

PORC joins with MuddyFox for 2004

PORC has a new sponsor in the form of MuddyFox bikes. The company that currently has two potential world champions riding for them, will be supplying PORC with new hire bikes, prizes for the DH series and some top tuition days. There will also be the opportunity to try out more of the new MuddyFox range, including some very special new bikes!

COACHING:

Porc will also be running coaching days with Team MuddyFox in 2004. This will give you the chance to learn from some of the best riders in the country. To get a place on one of the courses, you need to enter the competition in the july issue of MountainBiking UK magazine.

PORC 2003

So, the year is nearly over. It's been a busy one Here at PORC towers! Film crews under our feet, photographers coming out of our ears and national races to boot. Discovery Television have found a new talent in the form of PORC head honcho Mike Westphal. After our "Tree Tops" series (showing on Discovery Home and Leisure - Thursday nights!), Mike will now be seen regularly on the box, so watch out David Dickenson, your time is up!

Well it’s a new year, the weather is still the same, but PORC is changing!

Planning permission for the new clubhouse has gone in, along with planning for the BMX track, could this mean PORC turning posh in the woods?
There is also lots of racing to be had for the year.
DH is back, new courses are in, and with one race per month from now until August, including the introduction of PORC’s own laser-timing system, 2003 promises to be a big one.
Round 5 of the National Points Series 4X (new BCF version of BSX), and the Short Course DH Champs are just two of the events on offer for this year! Prizes galore and cheap entries, what more could you want!
We also have more XC racing coming from the Team Darenth guys and the BSCA (British Schools Cycling Association) XC champs.
On the less competitive side of things, we have a family day with Team Darenth coming up, plus the usual coaching and instructor facilities for birthday parties, corporate days and those who want to go higher faster and longer!

Sunlounger Cyclists come to Porc and camp a bit

Stu and his recumbent mates doing the grand tour. London to Leicester to Brighton to Porc and home to bikefix in Lambs Conduit St Holborn. Note the 4 wheeler top left and the yellow flags still a dangerous old game in traffic with or without flags you are looking at some very brave people whose courage must be admired. As soon as the wheelchair track is built Porc will be promoting recumbent events roll on summer.
